| A Three-Day Celebration between Speyer and Heidelberg // Neo Restaurant and Heidelberg Suites
It all began on Thursday in Speyer, where only the closest circle of family and friends — and of course their dog Polly — gathered at the Standesamt. After the civil ceremony, everyone raised a glass right outside, before heading to Weingut von Winning. There, a small champagne reception and intimate dinner set the tone for the days ahead, officially kicking off their marriage in style.
On Friday friends, Alex’s hockey teammates and family members from all over Europe arrived in Heidelberg. To make sure they had as much time as possible with everyone, Antje and Alex hosted a relaxed get-together at a tapas bar in the old town — the perfect warm-up evening for laughter, hugs and catching up.

Saturday was the big day. Antje started the morning at the Atlantic Hotel with her best friend and maid of honour. When we arrived, the make-up artist was already there. Soon, three more bridesmaids and her mum joined, their blue dresses — matching the wedding’s colour palette — hanging ready while the wedding dress was being steamed.

Alex, a few kilometres away at House of Hütter (or the Heidelberg Suites), got ready with his brother and four close friends. They had a lot of fun, toasted together and helped him with the last details — we caught some great photos of those moments.

Back at Antje’s, she was stepping into her dress as her bridesmaids left for the church. Then her father came in to see his daughter for the first time in her wedding gown... In a Jeep they made their way to the church, where all their 150 guests had already taken their seats.

Alex entered with his mother, followed by the bridesmaids and finally Antje with her father. The ceremony was emotional and heartfelt. When they exchanged vows, applause erupted; the newlyweds walked back down the aisle between cheers and smiles. Outside, champagne waited for everyone to toast the couple.

In a vintage car, Alex’s brother drove them back to Heidelberg Suites, where Antje and Alex slipped away for a quiet moment to let it all sink in and some portraits just of the two of them.

in the Restaurant - Neo Heidelberg, where the guests were already enjoying drink, Jana & Sammy were playing live music, people were singing along and dancing even before dinner. Once everyone was seated, Alex opened the meal with a heartfelt speech thanking everyone for their support and for coming. Both fathers and the best man followed with their own moving and funny speeches. Dessert came in the form of a buttercreamy cake, which Antje and Alex cut together.

Then Antje slipped across the street with her bridesmaids to change into a party dress — cue lots of laughter and even a little dance on the hotel bed before heading back.
Back at Neo, the newlyweds opened the dance floor with their first dance, and then the party exploded. Ties flew through the air, people danced on tables till early morning hours...
